Disclosure of Company/Product Relationships
I disclose all present paid relationships with companies and organizations. Examples of the types of professional services I provide may include: serving as a spokesperson for foods and beverages – commodities and brands for TV, print, radio, web, social media (including live chats and product reviews) or in-person engagements, food and nutrition consulting for recipe development or similar project, or expert consulting for programs and initiatives.
If a blog post does not contain a disclosure statement at the bottom, it means there is no financial relationship to disclose.
If I am ever directly compensated for my time to write a blog post – whether it is reviewing a food/product or researching a topic and writing about it in my blog, I will clearly disclose it in italics at the bottom of my blog.
I frequently blog about my TV appearances, interviews, and recipe development projects, sharing what I am working on and providing tips and advice for readers. If I am not receiving direct compensation for the blog, I will disclose the financial relationship for the project and clearly state that that compensation was not received for the blog.
Product Reviews and Contests
I am very selective about product reviews and contests. Read my bio and if you think I am a good fit, send me a personal e-mail. I’m happy to consider it.
I tend to do book reviews and product giveaways for professional colleagues whom I know and respect or a book that might be the next “bestseller” and I’m motivated to read it and share my “two cents” to help my readers make a decision before purchasing it.
From time to time, I will try out a product and write a review. I am compensated for my time to do so.
Comments
I started this blog to engage in conversation and I appreciate all comments that are discussion based. We have had some great chats about food, nutrition, and health.
I personally review all comments in order to moderate spam or posts that are unnecessarily rude. Nobody likes getting yelled at over the internet. Hostility is not welcome here. We can engage in a discussion and “agree to disagree.” However, if your comment is rude, abrasive, or hostile in any way it will not be approved.

I try to avoid making recommendations for your personal health that you can’t find by Googling. If you want expert advice, see a nutrition expert. Find a dietitian in your state at www.eatright.org. You can contact me for in-person consultation if you are in the Metro D.C. area.
