These steps are so important yet so easy to do. Kudos! I also agree, there should be a balanced nutritional supplement to accompany this program.

Wow! Congrats on the ultra marathon! I am in complete awe!!! I've completed a marathon, and that was tough enough!

I agree w/ you on the fueling! That's the most important part! My husband did his first 1/2 Iron Man last spring and the nutrition was such a huge part of his success!

Best of luck in your 50 miler! Can't wait to here about it!

This is so true. Support is one of the most important factors in losing weight. If you have a friend/significant other who is always junking out/ putting you down for your health efforts, then it's substantially harder to get/stay fit.

Canned tuna is a staple in my pantry. It's great for last minute meals. I boil some whole grain pasta, chop any fresh, frozen, or canned vegetables I have, drizzle some olive oil, lemon juice and top with Italian seasonings, and I have a meal that always leaves a good impression.

I'm always eating canned beans. I also eat the occasional canned tuna or sardines with mustard (which sounds unappetizing, but is really not bad with the mustard and great for you!). Frozen fruit is always good as well to stick in smoothies.

Very informative and I would agree with most of the comments. Keep your kids away from Flinstone vitamins and any other synthetic garbage. Stick with natural and chelated vitamins. I thing you might find this article of interest.

Who doesn't love pie? I have an awesome recipe for healthy pumpkin pie and have you ever made an apple pie with thinly sliced apples as a "top crust"? YUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMY

I don't worry about BPA in cans. I worry about people not eating vegetables and fruits and eating too much garbage food too often that doesn't have good nutrition for the calories. I don't think you are one of these people. Let's get together soon!!!!
